2024 Tata Curvv Launch Timeline Confirmed

Tata Motors has officially confirmed the launch timeline for its highly anticipated Curvv, marking it as the car of the year for 2024. Unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Show, the Curvv’s production-ready prototype has generated significant excitement. Here’s a detailed look at what to expect from Tata’s latest offering:

Launch Timeline

Tata plans to release the Curvv EV between July and September 2024. Following this, the ICE version is slated for launch approximately three to four months later. This timing could strategically align with the festive season to maximize customer interest and sales.

2024 Tata Curvv – Design

The Tata Curvv showcases a striking coupe-SUV design. The EV variant will feature a sleek front end without a grille, while the ICE version boasts a distinctive chequered grille design. Both versions exhibit a sharp, edgy design with prominent cuts and creases. At the rear, the vehicle sports inverted L-shaped LED taillamps that span the width of the tailgate.

Interiors

Inside, the Curvv adopts a minimalist yet functional design approach. Key features include:

  • Dashboard: A clean design with a floating infotainment system.
  • Steering Wheel: A two-spoke design with media controls and an illuminated Tata logo, similar to the new Nexon.
  • Additional Features: A panoramic sunroof and a powered tailgate enhance the vehicle’s practicality and comfort.

Specifications

While detailed specifications are yet to be revealed, here’s what we can speculate:

  • EV Version: Expected to be equipped with either a 50kWh or 60kWh battery pack, possibly powered by the new generation motor seen in the Nexon.
  • ICE Version: Confirmed to include the 1.5-litre diesel engine used in the Nexon. Potential petrol options include a 1.2-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, with the latter potentially offering a CNG variant.

2024 Tata Curvv – Price

Pricing for the Curvv is anticipated to be competitive within its segment:

  • ICE Version: Expected to start around Rs 12 lakh and go up to Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
  • EV Version: Likely to start at Rs 18 lakh or Rs 19 lakh, with higher variants reaching up to Rs 26 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), strategically priced to avoid overlap with the Nexon EV.
